Mountain
Le Salève is a mountain of the French prealps, rising to 1, 400 meters and towering over the city of Geneva in Switzerland. Despite its proximity to Geneva, the Saléve is located in France in the Chablais area of the Haute-Savoie department, in the Northern Alps.
The heights of the Saléve (1100 meters) can be reached by cable car whose lower station is situated 400 meters from the border (from the village of Vevrier). The upper station overlooks Geneva and Lake Geneva.
